Hey,
I just finished about 40 hours of work and completely refinished a 1949 Winchester Model 70 and it looks BADASS! When I started it looked like a box of smashed *******s too!
My first refinish job. If I were smart enough, I'd post pictures. Sorry ... I'm not.
Oh well, I dig it!
All the best,
Duane Dwyer
PS any other Model 70 freaks out there?

Duane , I just bought a Winchester Laredo in .300win. It has pre 64 type action. I think it will fun project. Chris

One of my first jobs out of High School was working at a small gun store in East Tennessee in the mid 70's and one day a crusty old guy brought in a Pre 64 Mod 70 to sell. It was a beauty and chambered for .300 Holland and Holland. I was ready to sell my car to buy it but the owner snatched it up..

I'll find another one.........................

I just sold a pre 64 (early 50's) Win in .30-06 last year. I still miss it. Duane, what's yours chambered for?

Get someone to post some pics for you.
