I have never seen a knife come from the factory with two cover pins like yours! Someone was sleeping during the inspection or maybe it was a "lunchtime" knife that was intended to only see a workers pocket.

I can't see where the pins come through the liners because the liner is double, and the inner liner is cut to make room for the blades, if you follow. I think I'm going to keep this oddity in unused condition. I have more than enough users and will never have another one like this, warts and all
