This is one I just finished for myself. It is my Forester model with a scandi grind. I wanted to try a scandi since I never have had one or used one. I thought this would be a good one to try. Like I said it is a Forester made from 3/16" 1095, with mint green James Todd G-11 with black liners. The blade is 4 & 3/8" and overall it is 8 & 3/4" The handles are contoured James Todd G-11 with two 1/4" Pandora's Box mosaic pins brass pins and a 1/4" brass lanyard tube.

I just got it done so I have not got to use it much as of yet. I have sliced some cardboard made fuzz sticks at work last night out of sandwich tooth picks and when i got home sliced some newspaper. It seems to be a real slicer and cant wait to give it a work out. Let me know what you think and I will post some better pictures later on. Thanks for looking Doug.

Hey Doug that's a good looking knife. I really like the handle color, it looks really cool. Looks like the contouring is pretty well done too. Can't say much about the scandi grind as I've no experience with them. Looks like a good knife overall though. Hope you enjoy it.

Nice! I love the scale material as well as the blade shape. I'd enjoy taking that one out in the woods.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I need to get some finer stones so it will polish more but it is coming. The angle is 10 degrees per side. James I knew you would like those handles. Doug

No fair! That is a sweet knife. I am not buying any more knives, I am not buying any more knives...

Its ok Rocky I am sold out for a bit. I have a bunch too get done before Christmas. Doug

Oh thank God! I just gave the one I bought from you this summer to a friend and got one of your outdoorsman models in a trade. Love your products!

Oooh a Scandi! Great looking knife Doug! You get better with each blade and I like that you try different things. Like Rockwolf I can't buy any more blades, but some of your new models are definately on my list!

Nice.

To me it looks sort of like what you would get if you bred a Koster Bushcraft to a Fiddleback Woodsman having some of the best features of each:thumbup:

I've only finished one knife with the G10- not my favorite color, though it grows on me and is pretty visible. Not day glow, but pretty visible. Stuff is bombproof. Like, wrap c4 around it bomb proof!

Scanid is looking nice :)

Thanks again so far for the compliments from everyone. I make this one in a full flat grind and a convex all seem to work very well. Doug

TFin04 Thats what I hope to get with this one, time will tell. I did stab through a #10 can the other night as well it was like it was not even there loved it. Doug

That's a gorgeous scandi, Doug!!! From blade shape to scales, it looks like a near perfect design!
