Wow! That pattern makes me dizzy! You need to make some more time in the shop so we can see more beauties like this one!

Beautiful---how did you get the angle on your blade--I'm just learning
Roger,

If you're talking about the angle on the plunge line, you can get that by tilting the handle up(when grinding edge up). Or, if you run the belt off the platen / wheel a 1/4" or so it will sweep out the top of the plunge line to a more rounded top corner. I'm sure Mr. Knowles can add some other nuances to it...

Beautiful damascus and Maple burl, And the Wrought Iron guard set it all off well. Great job I love it.

DAMN. You better find more time because that is one awesome knife!

I have asked about those plunge lines before and no one really answered it for me....glad someone did on this thread! I have wanted to give that a try and really screwed one up a few months ago attempting that plunge cut.

Also, Where did you get that damascus? Is it a person that sells it commercially? I would be interested in some if so....

That is one more fantastic looking knife!

Take it easy.

Hank

Wow! Thanks for all the kind words! Roger, If it is the plunge your talking about, Tecsec nailed the explination how its done. Thanks Nick for pointing it out, the blade is infact 5/32 thick. I am an idiot .
