I posted a pic of one of my first knives a few weeks ago. So here is what i have been working on since then. As always constuctive comments are welcome.0003 (3).jpg

I like the shape, very nice handle fit and finish. You could take the blade down a notch on the edge thickness I'm thinking. But other than that a pretty fine looking knife!
 
Looking good. I live over in Pampa and found a couple of makers in Lubbock. I invited them up this summer if I can get a calendar of our guest at work so I know when I can take off. We were gonna do some grinding and bsing and if I get it worked out your more than welcome to come.

Let me know when ya'll are getting together I would love to try and make it to Pampa. I am sure I could learn alot.
 
I am in Lubbock and you contacted me, but I am far from being a maker as yet. LOL looking forward to a meeting. I have been emailing with silver pilate and we are going to get together at some point and talk shop. I guess we could call it Red-NECKA. LOL ...sorry about that.:o
 
Hey edro as soon as I can get a calendar from the boss man I'll have a better idea of when to get together. I don't have much of a shop (corner of a garage) but I can still show ya some things. I've got a KMG with step pullies and a metal cutting band saw. Silver was asking bout hollow grinding and I can teach that I'm pretty sure.
 
SWEET! I'll have to get a loan for the gas for the trip up there!! Just kiddin' I am looking forward to it!!!
