Well, he came from the outdoors, anyway;) Somebody found this lil' rock squirrel in the parking lot of a local bar last night, and since the gf works for the humane society, I got bribed into taking care of him for a while. I am amazed at how tame he is, especially considering he's at least a month old, probably closer to 6 weeks. Still young enough that he's getting bottle fed, though. Sure hope that doesn't last too long-it's more work than i expected:p

That little critter is cute. I don't know whether they would make good pets, or not, but it might be worth a try.

Apparently they get fairly aggressive once they hit puberty (6 mo. or so), especially towards people they haven't bonded with, so unfortunately he'll have to get released eventually, but they're awfully cuddly at this age:o:D I've got a family of 'em outside my place, so hopefully I can get him 'adopted' by them:thumbup: Eventually;)

That's a shame. I have several that I watch that live outside my place. They tolerate me, but won't let me get close. They're really cute though.

It would oppress and thwart that poor soul's evolution to keep him locked up in servitude to a person.

I don't even know where I come up with this bullsh*t.

So, when you decide that it is time, how are you going to cook it up? :D

Just kidding, it is a cute little thing. Sure you can't keep it as a pet?

Well, it may turn out that it has a vision problem. It doesn't even twitch when you move a hand toward it, to the point that you can almost poke it in the eye. If that turns out to be the case, I'm guessing I'll be taking care of it for a while...

I sure hope not, though. As neat as it is, I'd rather it be healthy outside than blind inside. I really hope that it is just a really brave, friendly, and trusting lil' guy.

Hopefully it isn't blind. That would be awful. If it is that brave, though, maybe it will hang around outside :D
