New pack help from WSS brethren

I'm hoping the guys and gals of WSS can help with my constant, ever evolving search for the ultimate pack. After carrying and using a myriad of packs I'm getting pretty close to what I would consider the ideal pack - I just need everyones help in locating/finding it.

Here's what I'm looking for -

I would like the quality of materials and craftmanship to be as good as or better than maxpedition or camelback military series, it has to be "bombproof".

It has to have two straps, i.e. a backpack - no gearslingers.

The size needs to be a little smaller than my pygmy falcon II. The width is ok - I would like it to be 4 or 5" shorter.

I need a main compartment and at least 2 small compartments on the outside front of the bag.

It needs to have exterior nalgene/guyout bottle holders similiar to the pygmy falcon II.

As you can see - the pygmy falcon II comes as close to my perfect bag/pack as I've been able to find. I just need it to be smaller with pouches on the front similiar to the falcon (2 instead of 1).

Maxpedition has some gearslingers that come pretty close to what I'm looking for but the whole 1 strap thing aggravates the hell out of me. I have a fatboy that I use infrequently simply because everytime I bend down or over it slides all over the place.

So, does anybody know of such a pack? I'm not terribly concerned about prices if it is exactly what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance,
B.

I don't know if they have something that fits your size parameters... but Eberlestock packs are bombproof. I love the Skycrane pack.

Thanks for all the responses. I've come to the conclusion that what I want doesn't exist. The closest I've come is the pygmy falcon II. It's a great pack (I have 2) but it's just a tad too big. I guess I'll have to live with it for now and perhaps attempt some modifications to get it closer to what I have in mind.

I'm basically looking for a maxped Malaga gearslinger - except I need it to have 2 straps (backpack style like the pygmy falcon II) and dual mesh water bottle holders. Someone build it!!

I'm interested in this also...I have the same feelings as Bwilson about the PF2.
One thing I would add to his list is that the zipper on the main compartment should not zip all the way down but only halfway. I hate going in a daypack's packed main compartment for something and having everything I packed so well fall out when unzipped.
Will watch this thread for options.

Edit: I've been eyeing that Mystery Ranch Hot Top pack for a while ..... Looks like a great pack but I can't get past the $.

If the size doesn't bother you too bad... it's not a bad thing to have a pack that's 10% bigger than you need... Along the trail you may find things you need to pick up and take with you... so having a tick extra space is a good thing... You might find some Pine Lighter or (Fatwood) as I heard it called and need to drop it in your pack for a fire later... I mean having a pack that is 50% too large is a waste... but a little extra room can come in handy on a trial. I leave one pouch empty on my most used pack for this reason alone.

i know you said you hate gear slingers, but i think the Mexpedition Malaga fits the bill quite nicely for you. i have one, and it stays put quite well. the load rides on your back, not messenger-bag style like the fatboy line. it doesn't come with a bottle holder, but you can get a mini-rollypoly, a nalgene bottle and tie tacs for $28 from Twowolves... just sayin'...

I just ordered a Mystery Ranch HOT TOP. Will let you all know my first impressions after it arrives.
