hey guys - just got this knife and thought i would show it off! you might have seen the pics Phillip posted a few days ago, but here are a couple more (along with the knife and story that inspired this order).

a couple years ago, Phillip posted the original knife in a makers sale thread. i am a fan of large knives and took to it immediately. i was drawn to the size and shape of the blade, and really liked the symmetry in the damascus. at the time i placed my order, a lot of people were saying how much they liked the knife. many others thought an already great knife could have been stunning, with the choice of a different handle material. i was fairly new to collecting and thought the knife was perfect as it was. ever since i purchased the knife, it has sat right next to my computer and has been one of my favorites. (and has been shown off to everyone who comes over!) i can't count the number of airy home invaders that original blade has slaughtered!

after a while i began thinking of that original thread and had thoughts of what my knife would be like with a different handle. being constantly bombarded with hundreds of beautiful knives being posted didn't help much either! one day Phillip posted a new leaf blade dagger with a polished handle and guard that set me over, and soon i placed my order. we talked about blade size and shape, handle material, embellishments and so on. i had a few ideas of what i wanted, and he came up with some really creative improvements. anyways, here is what we came up with, and i couldn't be happier with the results!

here is the original knife.

Indeed you should be happy.

Two fantastic blades, two handle styles, two chances to fend off the things that would go bump in the night!
