New Photo Thread (warning photo heavy) PICS ONLY, NO CHATTING!!

Received HEST yesterday, IZULA last week.

I love this! We are all using our knives for hard use, but we also take beautiful pictures of them and places :)

Anyone have a 5 and 6 spine pic? Want to compare, cause I was going to get the hest over the weekend, but I found a guy who has the 5pack, and an extra 5. They look brand new, he said he was a little disappointed in them, that the blades sharpened edge had speckles of orange and brown rust on them, and said he didn't want those in his display case in his office.

First off, is that legal? Having blades in a Southern California Office? rofl.

Second, I bought them right up :) He said he wasn't going to try and rip me off, well this was thurs, but than I said ok, how much you want for them? And because cosmetically in his opinion, he said they weren't going to go into his display, he wanted to get rid of them, and maybe go for a Cold Steel Magnum Tanto II.

Pfft I don't care, go get your Tanto. Gimme the dang 5's.

So they should be arriving today :) will being itching to see them, one was good enough for me. But two? For so cheap >:] I feel devilish!
 
Ok well like I just posted above this, I was waiting on some 5's that I bought off of a gentleman who thought they weren't good enough for his display case in his office. Eh. His loss, my gain :) cause although I don't have a fancy office to display my knives in, I've got some great wilderness they'll look great playing in :)



Here is the one with the pack, after inspecting doesn't look used at all, so I guess I scored good :)

The other 5 however looked to have minor hand held fondling use. And came wrapped in news paper :(

All I know is I think the pack also was supposed to come with a fire rat nub, but it wasn't in the pack, so all that came was the pack, and the 2 knives, one knife was wrapped in newspaper, dunno if it originally came in a sheath.

Funny thing is, he wrote on a note in the package, that the best part is if I don't like the rust on the blade, I can break it and send it back in for a replacement without rust.

WTF? ASSH*le! All it took was a Scotch pad, remoil, some rubbing for not even 5-6 seconds, and BAM, rust was gone, but to me? Its like WTF? Why would I send back a knife for skin rust issues? I killed one of the trees my aunt had been asking me to cut down :) I guess one 5 will stay in its pack, hidden with my stash for assembling my Bug out Bag, and the one I used to murder the tree, well Ionno...I am broke for a good long while and will have to see how I can carry this bad boy! I really love him! And I was so happy to find the deal, when I originally saw the craigslist post, I thought the knives must've seen some work duty and well worn, but for $150, for 2? And talked him down, and he threw in shipping? I think I did really well :D WOO HOO!

I love your shots! Attention to detail is epic! I couldn't get my Nikon out, so sony cyber shot had to do for the time being, and yah he had them for $150, but I talked him down, than I said well...if they are rusting....and he said no no they seem fine, but he said ok, he'll do shipping free too, since he can bundle it with his business or whatever he was talking about. I don't really care. It was stupid his reasons for selling them, as well his notions of why he wouldn't want to keep them. A knife is a tool, not a barbie doll to cherish, just rubbed me the wrong way how he talked about the knives. No worries, the big rust issue was so nothing! Rem oil and a pad took it right off!

I will look at getting the homeless 5 a sheath. Do they sell the Pack by itself without the knife? Cause one knife has it the other is nakkid!

And I love your 3! Looks like mine! :D





Oh btw! I tried my glass breaker at the junk yard over weekend ;P works wonders! :D Hahahaha

A photo is no replacement for a knife lol. I know because I spent weeks staring at pics of the 3MIL :)

Thanks man, glad you like the shots.

Some people's ideas just kill me lol.

The 3-MIL just usurped my HEST's position of my edc knife, I still take the HEST on certain trips but the addition of the serrations won out for edc. I'm tempted to put these two in a dark drawer and turn on some Barry White over night and see what comes of it :D

Mist I ordered a Kodiak yesterday. Its a bit larger but I thought it would be better than sitka since I usually carry spare clothes :) like a tshirt or wife beater.
