This knife is first referenced here:

It is designed by Kirk Rexroat, who was kind enough to send me this pic. It sports micarta scales, a 4" blade of VG-10, and boasts construction like the SERE 2000. Sound like a winner? I know that I will HAVE to get one of these. How about the custom version?! :eek: :eek: :eek: Is that badass or what?

I'll admit I usually like my knives to have a little more belly, but there is something about this one that I really like.

Haven't seen Al Mar's daughter. Any pics? ;)

Tell me about it. So many toys, so little money. And then you always need the extra things to go with them, like more G2 sheaths! ;)
 
No pics of daughter, but I did see her at his table that one year they had a Soldier of Fortune convention in Florida... She was one hell of a cutie and if you can imagine a 17 year old kid floating around for the rest of the day...
 
The Shrike sure looks good to me. As for the 17 yr. old daughter--I'm sure she's cute, too---but maybe a bit out of my age-catagory.:eek:

No kidding Eh....

I'm expecting Umm ten knives for myself in the mail in the next couple of weeks...Yikes.. Went a little overboard lately...LOL

A Little overboard? haha, I'd say! but then in the past few days or so I've gotten 4 knives in as well! and was looking very hard at a Lochsa that was/is forsale...but $$ don't last forever!

Right now my favourite one still going strong...the Dobruski butterfly...and a few others also!

So, that's your third wound in how long? If it's been in a short time, maby you should reconsider if you're in the right hobby? BTW it looks enflamed in the picture, perhapse you should see a medical provider before you wind up with an infection. Just a thought! JDBraddy
 
Hmm, I dont really see a likeness there much, maybe just some inthe handle curve, nothing at all the same in the blade designs, and if the Shrike is built as well as the SERE2000 then it will win hands down as a stronger better built knife.
 
The Shrike looks good to me, but I like the custom version much more. I don't see a heck of a lot of similarity with the Benchmade AFCK either.
 
If it fliks and is built like the 2K then it will be a winer. The AFCK seems to borrow a bit more from a spydie if anything.
 
I've got one on the way! I'll post my initial impressions upon arrival.
