This took me about 20 mins. I gave it the PPT treatment. I honestly could not be happier with the results. Ive had this knife for 2 years and its always felt like a solid cheap folder, now it feels like a brand new knife. Honetly almost feels more solid.

yeah how did you do that? just sand out the g10?

whatd you use, a dremmel?

its pretty easy i just used a drill with something similar to a dremmel attachment. i dont know what they are called heres a pic. I just did it with the knife fully together then washed it out in the sink. just have to have a steady hand and a clamp for the knife.

i would recommend trying with a cheaper knife first. i did my kershaw OD 1 first then the Tenacious, Still a cheaper knife but i actually care about it.

One of the mods done on my SNG. Feels great in your hand, doesn't it? I feel like it gives a significant improvement in slip resistance, but not as much as I expected. Looks pretty darn cool though...

Do you find your pocket clip is now in a weird position because of the sculpting, or were you just really careful to keep it tight/level? With the SNG it's not as big of a worry, cause the clip is on the Ti side, but I'd imagine once you sculpted that G10, it might throw off the original positioning of the clip making it looser on the pocket...

Nice work. Looks awesome.

Never thought of using my old power drill as a dremel substitute.

Great idea.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

It looks great:thumbup: but from what I've heard those grooves can cause hot spots when used with bare hands. Let us know how it feels after some extended use.

ive been using it for a week like this and i havnt had any hot spots. Seems to have a better grip but less aggressive then you might think. i made sure all the grooves where uniform and the high points are all nice and smooth with sand paper.

I completely agree. I've used mine aggressively for many months, and it hasn't resulted in any discomfort at all. I actually think it's more comfortable this way, but thumbz is right, it's not as grippy as it looks. I think this is due to the fact that the G10 is effectively polished in the process of grinding it down, but the ridges compensate for this, giving you something that's marginally more effective than the original pattern, but way cooler lookin ; )
