New Pocket Clip

I tried one of those and didn't like it. Took it off almost immediately. I thought the curvature was too much and it stuck out too far. I also found it didn't have as good retention as the std clip. Lastly, I felt it just flat out looked like an aftermarket clip on a previously classy looking knife. To each his own.

I like lowrider clips. It looks good.
I would like thinner stock, less rise. I don't think I would like all that metal bunched in my palm when I hold it.

:confused:I may try to make one of .032" titanium, if I can swing it.

Original clip from CRK is much, much better, well designed and engineered.

Bll those after-market clips looks.......not very good.

To each his own, and if this mod suits someone's fancy, that's fine. I don't get the argument about re-sale value. You can buy a brand new CRK clip for $15. I don't know what they deep-carry clips are worth, but it would seem cheaper to me to just buy a second CRK clip if you are worried about resale.

The aftermarket clips don't really flow with the lines of the knife IMO.

I use this aftermarket clip for convenience and a have a specific purpose to switch to that clip. IMO the CRK clip does look better. For me to make a five second change to a clip that makes me more comfortable to carry in certain circumstances seems logical. Any opportunity/modification to carry my CRK more seems like a cheap bonus in my book.

I carry user knives which are tools. I can guarantee that regardless what clip I have on my CRK of choice that day, it will out perform nearly every other knife carried by my coworkers. You other CRK owners have that same luxury

I've found that no matter how hard I try I don't notice the flow of the lines of my knives in my pocket. ;)

I'm more about function than form. I don't like the knife sticking out of my pants and that's why I love this one. My ZT0562CF has a clip like that and I love carrying that knife too.

I wasn't really meaning that statement as an "argument", more as a possible PRO vs. CON. I don't intend to ever sell one of my knives so I could care less. I will say, however, that I have bent, unbent, and purchased new CRK clips more than I care to mention. I would also add that a few clips I have bent back would hurt the value if put back on the market in that condition.

I understand your response though and offer another. Selling a used CRK with snail trails all over a plain ti scale looks kinda funny with mint condition clip. So that's difficult in both cases. 🤔

This aftermarket clip is beefier. I have yet to bend it. Not saying it won't or can't happen, I just haven't yet.🙂

I think if the maker could figure out how to do away with that filler tab so it doesn't protrude so far, it'd help sway more into trying it out. It was for that reason I took it off within minutes of getting one. I don't even know now if it's still around here somewhere as that's been awhile ago now.

But to each is own as already mentioned.
