New posts/edits being blocked or timing out, anyone?

This question was general in nature and acknowledged that the problem was in a different forum.

It was a last resort since no one from there was responding.

I would post the solution for everyone's benefit, but wouldn't want to impose on anyone.

If the mods agree that the original post was in noncompliance or inconsiderate, please feel free to delete and notify me.

I did not join to be criticized for attempting to share something I believed to be of universal benefit.

If that is the attitude of the majority, others, please let me know so I can make an informed decision to stay or leave.

Thanks

Yet again, we have no idea what is going on over there. I have no problems seeing their forums. Maybe you have the issue on your end by using that Crapatalk app. Again, we talk about knives here, and sometimes gun, life, and things related. Other forums tech support is not our forte.
This is like walking into McDonalds and demanding a Whopper.

They have a thread on this already.

I cannot make a new post in individual custom knives for sale right now.:( I already tried rebooting and clearing cookies, although I think since multiple folks are having issues, we know that won't help.

Test.

ETA: Okay, I can respond to posts apparently, but I've been trying to start a thread in Becker all morning. Chrome and Firefox. Browsing data cleared completely (cookies, cache, passwords, etc.).

Nothing. Times out every time. Will not post at all.

Similar instances...

I tried to post a new thread back in July several times from two different computers and it wouldn't let me. Tried a couple times since and still no luck. it's been a while since I tried though.

Finally got my thread posted using Tapatalk.

ETA: Cannot edit the original post. Times out again and again. Totally frustrating.

We don't support third party applications like tapatalk. It's there but tapatalk functionality is on them.

Otherwise, I too run into problems posting off and on, but I regularly clear out my browser cache and that usually fixes things.

Posting is one problem, but not as bad or impossible as it was.

Opening/loading a page is another matter. At times I'll open BFC and then see a, IE cannot display the webpage, message.

BTW because page downloads haven't been complete, I haven't seen posting options, Bold, Color, Video, etc. since last Summer.

Turning/loading pages can be frustrating at times, after a repeat of refreshing the page and still not getting it. Need to take the lap top on ride to test a theory of mine that, this problem doesn't exist when BFC is viewed through comcast.

Or pack up the lap top, groundhog, dog and move to Sweden, where they have first world internet speed. :D

That particular issue (pages not loading at all, regardless of whether posting/editing) doesn't seem to be an issue for me, and I'm using Comcast/Xfinity. Prior to this, I was on a Verizon Wireless USB 3G modem connection (horrendously SLOOOOWWW by comparison to Xfinity; but that's their own problem), and I also wasn't seeing the issue as you've described, even with them.

Have you tried other browsers? Noticing you referenced IE; what version? I know IE in previous versions (8, 9 at least) has had issues of it's own. I occasionally use IE10, but still haven't seen this particular issue (as you've described) with it. Most of the time I use Chrome, and secondarily Firefox. My laptop is running Win7 Home Premium.
