Hi all,
I have some a wide variety of slipjoints up for sale today, from lightly used and ready to be used, to drop dead stunning safe queens ready for rough treatment should you be so inclined. Forgive the pic quality. Any requests for additional pics or more information available via PM. Reasonable counteroffers welcome. Insured shipping included in the prices. Payment via PayPal (friends and family not accepted), which will be provided once we come to terms. First “I’ll take it” here or via PM gets first dibs.
Joe Allen - Stag backpocket slipjoint (SOLD)
OAL - 7 3/4”
Blade length - 3 7/16”
Closed length - 4 1/4”
Steel - CPM -154
For those not familiar with his work, he’s trained some at the side of Tony Bose, and his knives reflect a similar commitment to precision. This one’s no exception.
A really clean, beefy slipjoint from Joe. Great well matched stag scales, half stop, clean plunges/ swedges, backspring flush in all three positions, nice walk and talk, centered blade, no play in any direction, about a 7 pull. Unused and uncarried.
This is not a dainty knife. The stag scales are definitely on the thicker side, but it adds to comfort in hand if not in the pocket, in my opinion. Would make a great working knife.
Rick Menefee Shadow Mini Zulu - (SOLD)
OAL - 5 5/16”
Blade Length - 2 3/8”
Closed length - 3 1/8”
Steel - Stainless/unknown
Great little cutter from Rick - it disappears in the pocket. Green micarta, nice walk and talk, 5 pull, blade a little off center, no play, Menefee sharp! This has seen light use and carry and is ready to work.
Rick Menefee swayback navy knife - $400 - $350 - $325 - $300 - now $275 for a great cutter from a great maker at a great price
OAL - 6 1/2”
Blade length - 2 7/8”
Closed length - 3 3/4”
Steel - stainless/unknown
Unique prototype pattern from Rick, clad in stag. Useful blade shape for utility work, half stop, dead center blade, long pull, flush backspring, 3 pull, Menefee sharp. This one has seen some light use and carry.
Stag shows some greening around the pins as stag sometimes does. There is another issue where a gap has formed at the base of the rear scale where it meets the liner. Doesn’t really impact the look, feel or function of the knife, but lowers the price for those looking for a great unique knife from a great maker at a reduced price.
Rest of the knives coming in the separate posts.
Cheers,
Seth
