New product giveaway

these look great. i think ive become a little to reliant with my gps and im sure these would help me use a map better

These are really useful for beginner level

I seems the more I learn, the more I feel like a beginner.
I'm glad to be in a world where the learning never ends.

Perfect! What's the projected price point? I plan to get a few sets, at least one for me and one each for my 2 sons who are both in the Scouts now.

Murphyslaw, congrats to you for being a father keeping a good tradition going that has really been on the decline these last few years. Some of my most happiest moments of my childhood were in the Cub & Boy Scouts. Good for you for being a role model for your sons. Merry Christmas.
Be safe.

I'm lost right now. Are those in .PDF format?

357. Thanks for the chance.

Yes, I have them in PDF but sort of hard to plot your location through a piece of paper ;)

These are plastic cards, three of them clear with UTM plotters in various map scales and 2 "white" cards that tell you how to do it, survival tips, topo map symbols, declination, etc.

Estimated retail for the whole 5 card set is less than 10 bucks.

Very nice. I'd enter for a set. They look like they would come in handy for work. How about a test in Arctic Canada:D?

JUST1MOR,

Thanks, I try to do my best with both boys and my daughter. We are doing our best to instill in all of our kids as many life skills as possible...swimming, martial arts, shooting, camping, critical thinking, practical common sense, independance, etc.

While we live 15 miles north of NYC, my oldest son (12) has at least 20 weekend camping trips with the Scouts under his belt. His Troop is young (he's one of the oldest), but has a great Scout Master who likes to camp, hike and hunt.

Happy Holidays,

Chris

I can't wait to get these cards in my pockets. I then will learn all I need to know about navigation and survival through osmosis. Oh but no not stack the cards on top of each other in your wallet. The osmosis information will transfer through your butt all jumbled up. Put one card in each pocket for clarity.
Just kidding,,,,,,,,,go ahead and put them in you wallet.

Thanks Jeff, I'll be ordering a set.

While I understand it was a joke, these cards SHOULD NOT go in your wallet. Instead they should go with your compass/GPS/map case. They are pretty much usless without the tools they are made for. Putting them in your wallet will only serve to wear them out quicker.

Thanks for the chance!!!

(sarcasm, i know this isnt the give away thread, but someone is bound to think it is!)

And here's the proof. LOL.

Im glad for a chance:thumbup:.

I'll take one

I'll try my luck. RatPack # 627 Thank you !

Sign me up :) Thanks for the oportunity !

Thanks for the opprotunity

I'm going to buy a set. Under 10 smackers sounds great.

I think these are a great idea. I have a transparent square degree measure instrument. I have used it mainly to do map work on location and have made my own transparent measurements instruments on well....transparent paper. Very useful.

Great idea ESEE!
