New product, Production Schedules, Etc.

I've been waiting for almost a month for one of your distributors to ship me an plain edge RC-4... not to be a whiner, but how much longer am I going to have to wait?

did you buy one out of stock....who did you buy it from,sounds like you need to talk to them ,my RC3 & RC4 arrived in a weeks time, my second RC4 should be here anyday....Talk to the people you ordered from ...

Joined in 2007 7 post ? Hmmm you would not be a troll would you,trying to disturpt the harmony we have...if the problem is legitamate,talk to the guy who sold it to you....
 
I did talk to the distributor... he claims he is selling the RC-4 as fast as he can get them, and he's waiting on delivery from RAT. He was supposed to get a delivery on 5/8 but he hasn't seen it yet.
 
Nope not a troll... and truly not trying to disrupt any harmony... I'm just jonesin' for the RC-4 I ordered.
 
Cool bro,sorry to hear about the back order log but Excellent blade and the RC gang are busting there balls to get'em out ASAP...
 
No worries... I've waited this long, however this will be my first non Ontario mfgd rat blade so the anticipation is KILLING me, I can't wait to get it into my hot lil' hands... and based upon the apparent backlog, I must be in good company. I just have to keep telling myself "good things come to those who wait". :)
 
That they do....you will love it,The RC4 is a excellent knife for any outdoor activity that requires a blade at your side. Sorry you hafta wait on yours...
 
We apologize for the wait. Who's the distributor? I know Cumberland Knife emailed me a few days ago saying they were out of RC-4 knives in plain edge. But the rest seem to have stock unless I'm mistaken. We ship to dealers and distributors in the rotation order that we received the orders. Right now we're just way behind on shipping new orders due to several large law enforcement orders that hit us unexpectedly. To be real honest I don't think any orders will be going out to distributors/dealers until around the end of the month.
 
As a side note, dustyzz, we appreciate you being here and for being a customer!
 
Ok I don't have a rat knife .....yet, but I will soon. Im trying to decide between the RC 4 now or wait for the RC 6.
Rat Cutlery sounds like a awesome company. I cant wait to be a Rat owner.
 
Although I'm new to owning Rat Cutlery knives I can already tell what great folks you guys are. It's awesome of you to keep everyone informed!!

Although I'm not typically the very patient type, after recieving my RC-4 last week and realizing what a great knife it was it makes the wait a little easier. As they say "good thing come to those who wait!" Keep up the good work, the quality you guys put out is well worth the wait IMO.
 
Howdy ... Yes, Cumberland Knife Works is the distributor I purchased from... I've spoken to Bill Horn a couple of times since I placed my order (04/21/08) and he says he's selling the RC-4's as fast as he can get his hands on them. Bill told me the he was expecting a shipment of RC-4's on or about May 8th and that he hasn't received that shipment as of yet... as a matter of fact he told me that he already has about half that shipment already sold.

While I'm very happy that Rat Cutlery is doing really well and has such a highly sought after products, I have to say that everyday I do suffer a little disappointment when I get home from work, and all I have to greet me in my mailbox is junk mail and bills instead of my brand new RC-4... and it sounds like it'll be a while before anything changes on that front. :(

Got any factory seconds you wanna sell cheap.... Cumberland Knife Works already has my new knife money. :)

This is funny seems like not too long ago Texastony was the one desperatly waiting for his RC-4. Like any loving forum members would do I taunted him and showed everyone pictures as well as ask him everyday if he recieved his yet. The good old days, lets bring them back again!
 
Thanks Jeff for the production update. Its very easy to get restless when waiting for new products.

I was wondering if any of the new knives will have any "First Production Run" marked blades available?

My guess is a lot of folks here would love to pick those up.

At this rate the little rat tool will never see production oh well I guess theres enough other rats to spend my money on. Then again with such success it may mean that it will at least be made eventually instead of just staying on the drawing board and a prototype.
 
LEOs first ... the rest of us can wait.

I'll just go grab an FBM or perhaps an HHFSH and chop a little more brush out of the North 40. I'll feel better then. :)

:D yep...but now I am waiting for my second ,should be here monday-wednesday ? poking fun builds a closer group of guys !:thumbup:
