Tom Krein and I are forming a new production company = K9 Knives.

You can check out the website here:

www.k9knives.com

We debuted our first knife at the Blade Show in Atlanta to get feedback and introduce the company. The reviews have been great!

The focus of the company is going to be to offer the materials, designs and quality you expect from a custom knife, at production prices.

We will be using Crucible CPM3V steel - a high performance steel that is nearly unbreakable.

The blades will be coated with a super-tough coating...and the handles will be 3D milled G-10 and removable.

Fit-n-Finish and Performance will be our Top Priorities.

If you are interested in hearing more, or to be notified when the first knife run is ready, sign up for the mailing list:

Thanks for checking it out!

Awesome news and congratulations! Let's see what you and tom turn out....

EDIT what steel is used in the prototype?

We made the prototype from 5160 for a quick mock-up.

This year, Darrel Ralph decided to form a production company.

Now you and Tom.

So, when the "real" production will begin, I should have enough money to get a lot of nice knives :)

That's great news. Best of luck getting the company up and running, and hopefully you'll have tremendous success!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!
That freakin' beauty belongs on a leash! WOW!

Oh, I am very much liking that proto!!!!!!!!!! Good for you & TK, "this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship . . . . "

I got to handle the prototype in the "pit" before Blade opened!

Very impressive! You get this in your hand and you start looking around for something to dismantle/dismember!lol
Good Luck guys. :D

Congrats to Dan and Tom. I admire both of your knives, from afar unfortunately, the idea of a production company with both of your fine knives is very exciting and will force me to run out of money even quicker then currently.

Made a small logo for any sig-line junkies wanting to show support:

Tom and Dan both very skilled but also both are great people thats a good combination.

Awesome choice for the steel. I am looking forward to a small fixed EDC in 3V.
Best of luck.
