New Production Company = K9 Knives

Dan, how big is that knife?

It's hard to say from the pic.

I handled it at blade, and while not knowing the exact dementions, I can safely say...

ITS HUGE!

Good luck on this venture Dan. THe knife was awesome. I don't see how it can not be a good partnership.

Hey, I wanna be a dealer.   ;)

Awesome, and I can't wait to see what two such virtuosos could come up with!

Chris

Is there any rough estimate concerning the release date of this great looking knife?

Why K9 ?? K2 would be more appropriate and the tail of the number lengthened to stick out the mouth!!

We debated about K2 for a while....decided on K9 instead. :D

Love live Uga!!!

Man, I can't wait for these blades. I have always wanted to try a blade in 3V. What is the thickness going to be on these? What type of grind?

All blades will be 1/4" 3V heat-treated to around 59-60 HRC with full flat grinds.

Right on. Does 3V perform in large blades better with through hardening or a differential temper? Will these be through hardened? Thanks, I can't wait! I am a huge fan of 5160 and S7 steel, and 3V seems to combine some of the best qualities of both.

The 3V will be hardened throughout (can't be diff. hardened - it's air-cooled).

It can be used for blades of all sizes.

Dan, i am really liking this. It means i can now get knives from you for prices i already pay. it makes me happy. this is a great day in knife land!!!!!

This is an interesting collaboration. I do have a few questions. Any idea how many pieces you plan to produce for the first runs of your models? Is there any specific design focus or will there be a variety of knives offered? Also, are any of the knives going to feature the thin grinds Mr. Krein does aftermarket for production folders? Many people have been asking for a production knife featuring these thin grinds so it would seem logical for you two to release maybe a small precision fixed blade with that type of geometry.

Good luck with your venture into production knife making. :)

This is great news, hope to get one of the first runs. Can't wait to see more that will come in the future. Good luck with K9 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks to be a interesting line of knives. My first impression on sight was it looks like a Busse. :D
