New prototypes: Spyderco forums

All the new models look fantastic so far. I'm going to get a Chokwe and Leafstorm.
 
They look gorgeous. Pity they are either liner locks or frame locks. I wish they'd make these with the frame version of the compression lock. I might have an interest then.
 
Oh wow... that pic in the 09 spyderco catalog does not do it justice. The real deal looks MUCH better. Think I want one now :D.

The Leafstorm looks like it might have to come live in my pocket, the Chokwe... not so much. Whatever the first one was I like, except that wire clip. Put a solid clip on that and I'll buy one in a heartbeat.
 
Yeah, lots of neat toys in that thread. I would not mind seeing any of them show up in my mailbox. Very nice.
 
I wasn't planning to buy any of these, but Wouter sold me Chokwe and Leafstorm. Now I have to wait for them to come out. Hopefully this year. Cannot wait now.
 
Doesn't the Chicago look awfully "fat" for such a small knife? Puts me in mind of the Toad.
 
It does, but I love that look. My favorite knife, as far as looks and fit in my hand are concerned, is the Salsa, which is the same way. Unfortunately I never carry it since so much of it sticks out of my pocket. If there is anyone who would be willing to help me remedy that, I'd definitely be interested.....(I know STR could probably do it...I just don't have any money to spend right now...)
 
Love the Chokwe, Leaf Storm and Sage II. I cannot wait until I can get my hands on them.
