New Queen Knife for Woodcarving

FK, Interesting. Looks to be the standard Q trapper frame. Nice selection of scale material.

I wonder if they will add any other blades to this line-up? A sheepsfoot or a wharncliff maybe.

I just ordered a knife in figured Ebony from Tim Balda the owner of Little Chipper.

Tim stated he is planning on three knives in the series. In about three months a larger frame with the same basic blade will be available. Last is a smaller blade for detail work.

All of the knives will have the basic chip carving style blade, this is the type of carving Tim does professionally.

The knife has the standard factory secondary bevel and must be honed and polished on a strop prior to woodcarving. Steel is D2 and the knife is made by Queen.

Regards,
FK
