Hey guys!
Just got this Premium Trapper in the mail yesterday and she turned out to be even nicer than I expected, so I shot some pix of her and thought I'd share with everyone.
What struck me when unboxing her was the beauty of the bone.
I actually held my breath while checking the clip blade for wobble.......and guess what? None whatsoever! :D I guess you can't have it all as the spey has some blade play, just a little.
As for out of the box sharpness....it actually had an almost decent edge! :D
Reprofiled both blades, now they have a 20 degree V-edges, shaving sharp.
Here are the pics, hope you like them!

Its a beauty for sure - thanks for sharing - great pix. Does it fit all the way into the pocket slip?

Nice trapper! I purchased the same knife last fall. It had some blade play so I sent it to Queen and it came back 3 weeks later with no play whatsoever. Something to keep in mind if the blade play gets to be an issue for you. I had a Case humpback stockman with some blade play and I fixed it myself by squeezing the knife in a bench vise (I sandwhiched it between some cardboard first for protection). I squeezed the bolster only as I did not want to risk cracking the bone.

If it looks that good in the pics I can only imagine what it looks like in hand. The color transition reminds me of the Les Paul Sunburst. Congrats.

Now that's a really nice knife. You said bone but is it carved bone or stag? Either way it is beautiful.

very nice looking one, love trappers and really dig the color!

but, it's bone that is carved like stag, not real stag as often used right? queen does not use real stag but resembles it only?

thanks
max

That there is something pretty to look at.

Where do you guys get the little leather pouches for your nice slipjoints?

Thank you for sharing... it is an awesome looking choice! I'm sure it works as great as it looks too.

You're right, my friend.
It's not real stag bone, but they do a really good job making it nice.
Real stag goes waaaay more expensive then what I payed for this knife.

Congratulations Mike! I have the same knife and it has become one of my favorite EDC's. Now that you've got it re-profiled and sharpened you should be good to go for a while. I've had very good luck with D2 edge retention.

hubba hubba........ queen really does a great job with this carved stag bone. i haven't seen a single poor or miss-matched example.

Beautiful! But I have admittedly been a Queen fan for some time. Yet that ACBS never ceases to impress me.

Carry it well.

Yes, it's great stuff. Here's their teardrop linerlock in the evening sun, showing very nice translucense.

But I also have a #19 trapper which is pretty uniformly dark amber to brown . . . well matched, but different.

Some more amber stag bone...whittler, stockman & teardrop:

(sorry for the poor lighting but as usual it's storming outside here in the Carolina mountains...)

lukacsmihaly my word , that is a beautiful knife.

Love the colors on those scales.
