this is a little vid I shot today on how to take down saplings with a belt knife..( I don't know if ou can see it clearly in the vid.. but it leaves a nice smooth cut surface) the quality is not so hot..but I was with my bro. and it was his first time filming...Thanks for all your support guys!

It's a DP knives Scandi camp master...(great blade) my goto. Nothing revolutionary going on there in terms of skills in my part, Just good fun.

Good video bro, I like how you keep some basic. Camera angles could have been better, but still good.

Yeah I agree on the camera angles...it was my brothers first time filming though...I might have to redo it.

I think you definitely got the technique across, the rest is just icing on the cake as far as camera angles, sound, etc. And how about a closeup of the knife? Puh-leeze??!!

I'll be doing a full review of the blade once the weather becomes a little more firendly..there will be plenty of close ups....

It's super easy provided you can bend the sapling..once the plant fibers are under tension..just a moderate amount of pressure from a Good sharp blade will split them like nothing....
