Funny you should ask, I just added one onto an order from an outfitter because it was on a major sale. I would honestly rather have it in 12C27N, 14C28N, AUS-8, AUS-10, S35VN, or another equivalent stainless or tool steel. I should have ordered a case of them back when Old Steel called it the Broken Skull and had it in CTS-XHP.
 
The new version looks like an improvement to me now, if they could use different scales.
 
Range Boss is almost free right now for $10.98 at the half way store. I bought 6 for a bit more. Amazing knife for the price.

So many uses but many will hate on the steel and nylon. It's good to have some disposable tough knives. When they're sold out I think many will regret not getting several at this price.

Mod it
Keep a bunch around the shop
Give them away
Wave it for emergency use

Yup. I had to make another order from them and added on another Range Boss, just to have around. I'm not loving the 4116, but the knife is just so convenient and handy that I keep it around. It comes out often around the kitchen to slice fruits. My Enduras are starting to get jealous about being kicked out of the pocket.
