New Rats in the House, RatManDu and Swamp Warden

Congrats! Man, you are killing me with your pictures over here. I'm still waiting.

Impatiently, I might add...

It was nice to see a comparison shot of the RMD with the Boss Street .... the Boss Street is slightly smaller than I imagined .... I have used my RMD's for a few years now and they are .... along with my S5LE .... my "go to" Bussekin belt knives for most EDC use in the hills .... those and a Basic 9. It is interesting to see the weights as well .... makes me realise why I like a Basic 9 at 14 oz's when the TB comes in at 16 oz's .... for me it is in and around these figures that easy belt carry exists .... the DFLE at 17 oz's is'nt bad either.

However I will be interested to hear your thoughts on edge retention on your RMD compared to your Boss Street .... Infi definately is an advantage in a chopper .... but I have a sneaking suspicion that SR101 seems to take a cutting edge at the "razor sharp" level for slightly longer than Infi .... it is very hard to tell though .... I spent a while collecting all the unwanted spam mail and bagging it to run the edge through with my RMD and back then a Jackhammer CE I had .... both were convexed and screaming sharp .... but the RMD seemed to catch less on the paper ....

Ofcourse it could be simply down to the individual edges .... it really is virtually impossible to tell unless you had hours and hours available with something like a huge drum of hemp rope ....

I will say though that the edge type also plays a part as I noticed the ASM Edge on my Basic 9 seems to outlast that on my RMD when whittling on wood .... and I have spent "hours" doing this as I have old style fires in my house so frequently use up tinder ....

Anyway ... I am sure you will enjoy the RMD ... definately a brilliantly balanced "user"

I will have to see what happens when I use the RMD. :)

I will have to work on the edge to be fair though, sharpen both knives and see what happens.

It's very light for a Bussekin blade of that size so it will be interesting to see how it performs against the Boss Street and Tank Buster when I do the Videos.

I fully expect it to perform extremely well overall as all my Bussekin blades do when I beat on them.

Yeah it dwarfs the Boss Street so to be fair I will have to compare 3 blades to balance it out.

Nice spread Ankerson. I, like many others, am waiting for my RMD and Wardens. We'll look for the videos man. Thanks for sharing.

Dang Ank, those edges of yours always look like mirrors. I knew it would'nt be long until you worked your magic on those Rats.
