New Reate Wave Flipper Coming Soon !

That is one heck of a handsome knife. I was quite surprised and impressed to see the inset mirrored on the lock side. Gives it a much more symmetrical look than your average framelock. Reate looks to be bringing the heat.

The problem for me is it competes for $s with the Begg Steelcraft Bodega...similar knives with similar price point. Since I've already pre-ordered the Begg, the Wave will probably get passed on...

So many knives...

I have no interest in the knife, but I will say that this is the first Reaté that I've seen in the $300+ price point that seemed like a really good deal - just on aesthetics alone. It's not my cup of tea, but I know some people are going to be all kinds of pumped about this one.

It's actually really unremarkable outside of those handle panels, though. Take that away and you just have a stretched-out Stedemon DSG with a steel upgrade.

Looks like some competition for the Lionsteel TRE. I like Reate but on this one the inlays are too blingy for me.

Reate is really putting out knives that have my interest. The only problem is that there's too little time between releases for my bank account to recoup!

I like the panels on both sides. They certainly came up with a novel idea of making the knife symmetrical. It's too short and stubby looking for my tastes nowadays. I would prefer to see it in a 4" length, not sure it increasing the length would allow keeping the blade as tall as it is but more proportional.

At the rate these TI flippers are being released I wonder if the interest will fade.

Something about about a knife that is made in China for almost $400 makes me crazy. Are they really that well made? I just don't think I could do it because of that... Regardless how nice it is.

I have handled two Reate knives so far. Yes, they are that well-made. The attention to detail is astounding and the action is exactly what I would describe as "perfect" on both (horizon and kwaiken)
