Look familiar kwazy? Lol.

Man its phenomenal!

I loctited the threads, switched clip sides for right hand draw, threw a hair popping edge on, and lubed her up.

Flips like a dream. Love how you just squeeze to pop the latch.

Been flipping it non stop after I found the sweet spot on the pivots.

Barely any wobble, but Flys like it's on bearings.

I love it!

That's awesome!! Yeah I seen that and was like hey.... Not too many of those around.. Haha! Glad you're enjoying it amigo

Justin, does this one look familiar too? ;)

Not only does ti look better, it flips better too!
Now if I could find a smooth ti scale for an XM-24....

Mike, that scale compliments you slicer very well!! Glad it finally arrived too!! Thanks for sharing the pics with us!!!

The newer scales are nicer than the older one's because they recessed around the thumb area on the inside giving you more purchase for the disengagement of the lockbar...

You keeping the slicer like that? Or you have other plans for it??

Justin,
I'd like to get plain ti screws and standoffs for both knives, other than that nothing. Unless you have a better idea?
Why does the ti scale make it flip better? I noticed it on both XM-24's and now the XM-18.

Mike......those are a pair of sweet XMs......and obviously I'm a big fan of the ti scales.......nicely done.....

Perhaps it flips better because the finish on the ti scale is smoother and more uniform than on the ti liner......less friction......less resistance......better flipping.....??? Just a guess........

And perhaps it's a case of mild OCD....but I like matching the screw color with the ti scale........but you can accent it with any color in the standoffs and LBS to make it look awesome.......or just leave it all plain.......still looks awesome.......can't really go wrong either way........

Mike, I think they look great the way they are... Just wondering if you were thinking of some ano Ti accessories or something...

And as far as flipping better... I have no freaking idea... Never noticed them flipping better after a Ti installation.. But maybe because it looks better, it seems to flip better because it looks better doing it.. And the good ol' tank feeling too :D Or just a proper cleaning when you change scales is a good mention..

Ross, that mild OCD comment made me laugh!! My new Eklipse is going to bother you then ;)

Ross,
I'm thinking you're right about the finish, and also thinking the pressure is more evenly distributed across the Teflon.

I've noticed that too. Maybe the extra weight makes the flick more forceful.
But, after installing ti on my spanto, I don't have to flick at all. Just the finger does it.

I think the ti may hold onto the lube better too.

Wharnie feels about the same with ti.

I don't use wrist with any of them, and can open them with thumb or flipper, but with ti scale the sweet spot is HUGE. I also tighten the pivot more, because the blade flips so easily, it practically slams open. I love the ti scales.
Oh, and with ti scale even the light switch method works. Even vertically.

I don't use lube on any of mine and don't have to do any wrist movement to open em... The teflon washer works perfectly for me. The lube just seems to pickup crap over time and that grime can wear on the knife. :)

Yeah good point. When I take mine apart, always a few bits of hair from obsessively checking the blades sharpness. Lol.

Anyone ever use the Teflon gun oil on a flipper? I tried it once and it worked great, I just don't want to hurt anything.

Picked up a couple sets of replacement washers just in case down the road I can't find them.
