New recurve pattern

Made up a new recurve design today I was going for a neat recurve blade on a handle I’ve used before and I liked it so much that I had to trace it for a pattern Ended up cutting out another too! Both are sitting in the tempering over currently

with a little modification, you could get a functional BK1 homage out of that sillhouette.

I would stick to your own patterns/designs, they are better than doing a homage.

The BK1 was a design I tried to love but it never really kept my interest. I’d have preferred a little drop in the handle. Thinner edge too

Good to hear. I've modded a couple over the years to do that
That's why I said you could make a functional version.

I really like the looks of this one! How long is the blade?

The only critique that I would give is the neck/area where the index finger wraps—could be thicker. I find that most makers make this area too thin. On a smaller knife it is barely tolerable, on a chopper, I find it very uncomfortable.

The blade is about 8 1/2in.
