New release. Ka-Bar Folding Hunter

Had them ship 1 with the BK20 Package heavy feel, firm grip for the handle, action a little slow and as I expected needs a good sharpening, all in all I will not grab another as the 1199 being my favorite folder from Ka-Bar this 1 fell short of expectations but like a cheap dinner I will take a shit in the morning and go about my day

Has anyone received one of these yet? Thoughts?

I got one with the BK20 package, overall it feels like about how much it cost. It feels solid, quite heavy and handle-heavy, smooth action but the lockbar is stiff so it slows the blade down and made the thumbstuds basically inoperable. I'll see if I can't break it in. The edge it came with was average, the blade seems a bit long for the kind of work I put it through. The pocket clip was a nice touch for a traditional-style folder, it's a bit heavy for in-the-pocket carry.

Only one manufacturing error, the scales weren't fit very well the the frame and had a couple tiny gaps on either side near the bolsters. Nothing bad, but there.

Overall, about what I expected from a $25 folder from Ka-Bar.

If you like the classic 110, this is the knife to get. At $17, for a thinner, lighter, single handed opening, pocking clipping take on a classic. True it's made in china, but it's under $20. I immediately grabbed one up and love it.

I got a brass framed 110 in 5160 carbon steel off of the auction site that kicks this thing six ways to Sunday.

$60, but never have to explain carrying a cheap Chinese knock-off either.
