You didn't say none of them died, but I presume that is a parameter too. If so, then she's probably a justice of the peace, or some such. (You one tricky dude!)

unky i will do a run off riddle between you and phil--I will post it in a few minutes-maekz

Thanks Marekz.

You're not out of the woods yet. I think I'm doing alright for redwood for now. I was thinking if I won I'd suggest you pass it on to a new maker instead. I see there were others with the right answer too. The balls back in your court my friend as I'll say, thank you kindly and pass the baton (gift) back to you.

All the best, Phil

i feel phil post showed up first and its only fair to him to have won. his post showed up first--thats just the truth- congrats phil

I fully agree with you he won fair and square even if it was a millisececond he still got the post up first. I was just making jokes any how about the same time thing, I wasn't chalenging his win.

Yippee, thanks for the burl Marekz! Since it is now mine I'd like to give to Mr. George Unky_gumbi. (I really do have a fair amount of redwood and really did want to forward this on to a fellow newbie-like maker if I won.) Would you mind just shipping it straight to him rather than to me? That would save me having to ship it out again. Thanks for your kindness and the fun!

George, I've been enjoying your file guide thread and look forward to seeing more. Enjoy!

Well thak you very much Phil, I will use it on one of the first knives I make. As for the file jig, now that I have a working version of it, I am making refinement to it. I have been playing around with a piece of mystery steel to get things just right and I think I have it worked out now.

Marekz, being that you had forgot the conus I'm fine with paying the shipping, or if you want to keep it south of the border thats fine with me too, because I am not sure with how customs will deal with wood products coming acrossed the border, just let me know how you want to handle it.

Unky how much do you think shipping would cost? what do you know about customs?--marekz

Not sure on shipping, probably not that much exspecially if it could just be put in a small box or padded envelope. I will give canadian border services a call on monday and see if there would be any problems. Just in case they ask what is the size of the piece?

So I have been seaching the CBSA and can find nothing that would be a problem, I am still going to call on Monday to try and get a definent answer though
