Well my head is about to explode. Got the wife a 2013 Explorer last of November. That one was painless for the most part. Got the loan myself at the CU so did not have to deal with the salesman. Now for the past couple weeks been looking for my sons first truck. That has been a headache, facebook people,Craigslist people and dealers. There are not many good trucks in the 5000.00 price range out there. Finally found a guy on Craigslist with a 2000 Nissan Frontier 4x4 that was a really nice truck so just got it. Now banging my head against the wall trying to find myself a Jeep Wrangler in the 10,000 range. Off tomorrow for a day of searching. Wish me luck on keeping my sanity.

Happy Hunting

Try to enjoy it though. Despite all the headaches, there is always something fun picking up a new (for you) car... especially if it is a jeep.

Yeah,I have wanted one for a long time. My old truck only has 90K on it so I don't have to trade so I think I am going to hold out for a Jeep.

Man we got tons of nice jeeps here in that range! I miss my diesels and my dodge to be exact 91 and 4wd built like a tank! Those nissans are nice! I had a 2001 crew cab off road package and it was great! He should be very happy with it!

Don't beat your head against the wall! What is meant to be, will be. :) Good luck!

Good luck with your search! That is good that you found something for your son and wife. . . . now on to you! :D

Looked at several Jeeps today. Found one I am really interested in but they are a little to high on it. They will not come off the price of it and even though they really liked my truck they won't come up on the price of it. Think I will go back Saturday morning and give them my final offer on it.

Kind of in the same boat, looking for a used Grand Cherokee Overland...although only because the ole Stang threw a rod...good luck

In my search I have seen tons of Grand Cherokees. They seem to be all over down here and not bad prices. Just listed my truck for sell on a couple sites, figure I get get more just selling it myself.

Yeah, have seen quite a few Cherokees, but the Overlands are few and far between. Larger engine/better suspension/more skid plates...I'm probably too picky, but looking at an 09 tomorrow

Well I got one a couple weeks ago in the midst of the big winter storm. The weather has not let me do much with it. It had a set of wheels on it that someone painted brown :barf: so after several days of searching on Craigslist I found a good deal on a really nice set of Ravine wheels and put a set of Michelin LXT AT2s on it. Had a 68 degree day with sun today so tossed on a pair of shorts and got to work shining her up. Still need to do the inside but the outside did clean up nice. Going to order a set of 4.75 in pocket flares for it as the stock ones are badly faded. The trim restorer helped some but not that great.

Thanks
Hope she stays with me a long time. Had the truck 11 years, was hard to let go of it.
