Hey everyone,

Just picked this up a bit ago and thought I would share with my friends. It is a Remington 700 with a custom stock. One of the nicest stocks I have seen and definitely the prettiest stocked rifle I have. This one is chambered in .270. I can't wait to get it sighted in and take it to deer camp this year.

Anybody else into pretty stocked rifles?

Garth

Awsome!!!!
I love fancy wood on guns.

As the saying goes "Life is to short to hunt with an ugly gun"

I've changed my gun collecting from any and all guns to higher end guns.

Let us know how she shoots.

wow that is very very nice.
You should have the custom shop guy make you a matching knife :)

Garth--

Congratulations!

Man, that is a beautiful piece of burl. Walnut?
Love the high comb on that one.

I love beautiful wood stocks. Have nothing that spectacular, but a few M70 Winchesters with nice factory wood:

WoW....Gorgeous Wood....I love the look and feel of wood and there was a time before synthetic that was all
you got...take the glossy finish off and load it up with Danish oil and all the tiny dings and scratches you get
on the hunt which are there as reminders of a great time in the woods can be fixed with more oil (Linspeed oil is good also)...

The only picture I could find of my "pretty" gun was on Facebook. It's a Savage .17 HRM with a dyed/laminated thumbhole stock. Not sure who is behind the glass in this one... I may or may not have been dating her.

This rifle has really spurred an interest in fancy wood stocks. Already looking for the next one.

Holly molly, Garth & Will, AWESOME stocks Bro. Now that is what I'm talking about. Nothing can dress up a pea shooter better.

Will, is that a Winchester Safari on top??? Looking at the size of the barrel I'd say a .458"

Careful--fine walnut stocks are almost as addictive as INFI. :D

That M70 above you like is one of my fav's--.300 Win Mag Super Grade w/26" factory barrel. I don't have anything that can touch your .270, though--and what a great deer rifle and all-around caliber that is.

Nailed it--good eye, my friend. Big 5 Special Edition Safari Grade in .458 Win Mag.

Top-to-bottom (right-to-left on buttstocks) -- The .458, .338 Win Mag Super Grade, .300 Win Mag Super Grade, .270 WSM Super Grade, .270 Featherweight (stainless). All New Haven guns.

Found a couple pics.

Kimber of Oregon Model 82 Super America .22LR with factory stock.

Ruger Red Label 20 Gauge (early blued gun) with custom stock.

Those Super America Kimbers are gorgeous guns. Really a nice Red Label 20 ga. you have there, too.
