I've just been to collect new Ringed Gidgee and am very excited by what's turned up.

In all the Ringed Gidgee I've cut, this is only the second time I've come across these lighter colours. The warm honey colour gives plenty of bling and will make spectacular handles.

Check out the blocks numbered 279 - 302 and the scales numbered 308 -319 on my website http://www.thetimberjoint.com

Thanks Mark. They are spectacular...I like those Koa blocks that you keep putting up too.

You guys get a great exchange rate too. The Australian dollar is only about 74cUS at the moment.

They look great. With the exchange rate they are really appealing. What would the approximate shipping cost be from Kangaroo country to the States?

Thanks!

Hi CaptainFill,
The exchange rate is certainly good for you Yanks. The website will let you know what the shipping cost is before you pay for it. All you have to do is put what you want in your shopping cart and then go to the checkout. Then you just put your address in and it will calculate the shipping cost for you.

As a rough idea---the first 500g costs $20AUS, up to 1kg - $34, up to 1.5kg - $47. The website also lists the weight of each block or scale. If you buy just 1 set of scales you can ship them on their own via airmail for $7.45.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Peter

Don't let shipping deter you from ordering from Peter. He has great wood, and is a stellar supplier. The way to make the shipping less of a problem is to order lots of wood. Ten or fifteen blocks goes for a small amount per block. When you add that to the low cost of the wood, you get a really low price for really high grade wood. I have ordered from him many times, and haven't regretted a single block.
