I just got three blocks in today. They were clean, square, and exactly as advertised. This wood is HEAVY! Very pleased! Took 19 days between order and delivery, part of which was a function of my bank thinking it was funny that I was trying to charge stuff in Australia. All in all, I'll order again.

I bought some blocks a while back. They are heavy. That is probably due to the fact they are likely at about 22-24% MC. But they smell great!

Just finished a knife with a set I bought a couple months back. Amazing stuff! It is like desert ironwood and koa got together and had a baby. I will be a permanent customer.

IIRC, Peter reported - in one of his selling thread - MC around 7% or 8%. RG specific gravity is close to 0.93-1.0 (for < 10% mc), hence a heavy wood.

Good to know.... FWIW, the ones I got didn't feel green or wet at all. Don't have a moisture meter, but by my experience, these were dry.

Thanks guys for the feedback. It's nice to know that you are happy with the timber. We only cut from dead trees off my cattle property. They have been dead a long time and the moisture content is between 7- 8%.

Everything I got was dry. Just heavy dense wood. I love the stuff he has. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Sorry, my mistake then. I measured with a Wagner moisture meter and got 22% on my blocks. I think I forgot to calibrate the meter to the SG of that species which skewed the results. I'll recalibrate and measure them again.
