new rock lobster blade shape?

The new rock lobster has an interesting blade shape that I haven't seen on a pocket knife before. First, what do you call that shape? Second, what are the intended uses for it? It kinda looks like a utility slicer, bread knife in a kitchen to me, but a bit more upswept. Its odd but strangely attractive... I might have to have one.

I think it's a reversed tanto. It has a strong tip and a curved edge. Very useful.
