New S & M came today

:D :) :D Great stuff Amos...

Well, I figured it would make room for that "one little old run down, run of the mill trapper" of Waynorth's for you! ;) :D

What's that old saying? Twisted minds think alike? :D :D :D

I've got several S&Ms (4) and Queens (2) and enjoy carrying them, but I do wish they'd learn to put an edge on a knife before it left the factory. If Case can do it on a $20 knife why can't S&M do it on a $70 one?

What Case knives have you seen for $20?

Knifeworks has several Case knives for $23-24, some with CV blades. Close enough for hyperbole.

The point is that Queen Cutlery Inc should be capable of putting a cutting edge on a knife. Granted, most of us who buy them know how to sharpen them, but there's something really cool about a knife that comes razor sharp out of the box.

This Reverse Gunstock came in the mail today sharp enough to shave your dog...:)

Nice looking knife! Bonus that it's so sharp!!
Now, back away from the dog:p !

New firearms come out with a heavier trigger pull every year because of all the lawsuits against them. I wonder if the "not so sharp" blades could be something along the same lines.

That's an interesting point Blade Runner, I have come to hate the word liability, nasty little word... I would hope that is not the "Case"...:D

It also reminds me I need to purchase a new trigger for a 25-06 I have been struggling with. I have had good luck changing out with timney triggers on my other rifles...

Hey Waynorth just how big is "your dawg"...:D :) :)

Wish I had one sunburst. I grew up with airedales, but haven't had a dog for quite some time. Too busy collecting knives ;) !

I know, I know this guy sunburst won't stop putting his stupid pics on this site, make him go away..  But nobody else I know really gives a hoot about my new knives so I am laying them off on you all...:D

Here is a Cigar Band Black Pearl Whittler to add to my Schatt & Morgan collection...The clock was attached to the knife...

Lay away. That is quite the looker! Kind of hard to fit in your pocket with that clock attached though. Maybe it was a prototype and they were trying to do like the SAKs with the watch in it. ;)

Got this one today from Bill at Cumberland. The little brother of the big English Jack. It is about 3 1/2 closed and 420 instead of ATS-34. I know the the definition of slipjoint patterns is sometimes pretty broad but I was wondering what makes and English jack English as opposed to just a jack? When it comes to understanding all the different patterns, I will have to admit that I don't know jack.;)

I have been eyeballing that rascal for a while but still have not followed through on the purchase. Your nice picture sure does make me wish I would have purchased one...I love the matchstrike thumbnails  :D :D It just looks like it calls to fit in someones pocket...

Nice purchase and thanks for sharing it...

I like Levine's definition, on p.212 of LG4. An American term for a large (over 4 inch) slim, regular or sleeveboard jack. He says more, and it's worth the read.
It's a shame his series of guides got short circuited by the owner/publisher. That publisher has done more harm to the preservation of knife knowledge and lore than Osama-bin-laden.
