I've posted recent threads about suggestions for what I should do to my knife as far as scales and such. I decided to put on horsemat scales. I've had other knifes with horsemat scales and loved them. I've never had them on as small a knife as this. I really like how they turned out. They are very comfortable in my hand.

Is there any maintenance or instructions for finishing horsemat scales?

My finishing sanding was done with 220 grit sandpaper. Do I need to use a finer sandpaper? Do I need to wash the material really well with something or are they good to go? Any suggestions or maybe problems you all have experienced with Horsemat scales?

Horse stall matt neoprene rubber makes super grippy and comfortable handles. It will not get smooth or shiny. What you have done is as good as it will get. I make hunters and skinners with it and the guys who hunt in cold wet places love it.
