I agree with sending it back. The issues you mentioned (need to center/sharpen) can be addressed fairly easily but fact is you should not have to address either. The knife is new and it is a CRK. You should expect more. Hopefully the dealer is stand up and sends you another.

Maybe a washer is not placed properly. It can be a little tough to get them in place after disassembly. Maybe more evidence of previous ownership.
