New sheath for Talon

I just received my replacement sheath for my Talon Talonite and this one is JUST PERFECT! It fit the knife like a snug glove and I can now wear it as a neck knife.
Great job Camillus for such good customer service.
I will be sending the old sheath back as soon as I can get to the post office next week.
Love this knife AND sheath!

Is there anywhere that we can see this new sheath? Is there any possibility of ordering the sheath separately? You guys are making it sound SO good that I am thinking.... not always a good thing.

RockSpydy...It looks just like the original sent with the knive only it fits tighter. So much so that I am using mine as a neck knife now. Very flat and comfortable.
Why not contact Camillus and see if you can buy one from them or contact Blad Tech who I think makes them for Camillus.

Its worth having and I would have gladly paid for the sheath but Camillus's good customer relations has gotten it for me in exchange for the original one.

I just might do that. The big thing that interested me was an allusion in an earlier thread, I think the other Talon sheath thread, that the newer sheath was lower profile. My mistake, I suppose. I might contact Camillus regarding purchasing the new sheath anyway.

I dunno, Rob, could be. Thing is, I bought my Talon second hand from a guy that had bought an extra for a friend who reneged (sp?) on the deal. So, I took it off his hands. I have no idea how early in the run of Talons that it is. Mine works pretty well with my one extra screw. I had gotten the impression from some other thread that the newer sheath is lower profile. Hmmm... actually, that might point to this being a newer one, because I can't imagine it being much lower profile and still retaining on the handle.

Hmmm... I just thought about this... does it appear to be a pattern that I keep getting your knives, or your designs, second hand?!

I saw a SCHWEEEET Talonite Wharncliffe by you at the SE Custom Knife Show a couple of weekends ago. Nice burgundy micarta scales. Wish I had had the money on hand to get it!

How long did it take for you to get it? I called on the 17th to have my replacement sent and haven't gotten it yet. I can hardly wait to get it. I want to start carrying the talon daily, but want to wait on the more secure sheath.

Dennis, it only took a couple of weeks when after I called and I have since sent the old one back. I would give them another call and ask about it. You might also consider talking to Eric AKA Normark, of ON/SCENE TACTICAL. His sheaths are awsome!

New sheath works great - original the Talon kept falling out carrying horizontal on belt - no problem now - stays in very secure. New sheath did take 3-4 weeks to arrive.

Talon is wonderful everyday utility knife - couldn't ask for anything more for daily carry & use.
