Starting my new shop in the morning. 24' x 30'. Gonna have a bathroom and a grinding room. Completely insulated. Heated and cooled. Very excited.

That's very exciting! I'm trying to convince my government that I need an outside-the-garage shop as well...

Take your time - just remember to kiss the Mrs before she gets too tight around the eyes ...

Shoot, in my neck of the woods you can rent that size out for $1.25/sq ft! Not a bad source of income that way...just not as much fun! Congrats on getting one your way. I long for the day I build my own shop.

Man your really moving! Hope you don't mind me asking but what kind of budget is that shop gonna run?

I just realized where your located and I have family in those parts. Gonna have to keep my eye open for your shop next time I go visit them.

Extension cord? Don't you see the last pic on the side the hand powered grinder wheel he is working on? Ok it might be a hose reel but it has promise as a hand powered grinder! lol
 
That is very nice setup. With that said, seeing that it is made from wood, I hope that you are a stock removal guy who has no plans to use salt baths for HT. ;) Now for the bad news.....once you get it all nice and messy, you will be wanting a 48x30 shop .:D
 
Trying to find some ideas for the workbenches along the wall. Going to build some in the grinding room also. I would like to see some pictures or point me toward some.

I was thinking 24" deep. Not sure about height yet? Simple 2x4 and plywood workbenches.
