My latest, blade made in the handy dandy length of 15.5 inches of 80CRV2 goodness. Amber stag handle with brass seppa, and steel blued guard.

Wow! awesome sword David, I love the handle on that one.

Damn Dave, that's a worthy sidearm for the greatest of pirates!

Chief, that is outstanding. Love the stag handles. Even the stand is a work of art.

What is the overall weight on that beauty?

That's awesome. I always get excited when one of you guys posts your work because it's always really, really nice, and not disappointed with this, as usual. i also have to say, that blade finish for that hilt is the perfect choice. If it was high polish/gloss I think it would lose something overall, idk, just my opinion.

Thanks. The finish was done by a bath in ferric chloride, then pulling it out and sanding off the oxide. It leaves a nice, grayish finish on a blade.

that is a beauty! It looks like it could be from the Pacific Islands somewhere. I love that steel, too (the alloy). That is probably about the best hamon one can get on that alloy, too.

very nice.
