New SHSHII arrived today... PICS ADDED

For anyone's collector info: one of my SHSH2's has a "Satined" spine, the other two are painted same as the rest of the blade...;-)

I didnt know that about the sheath, thanks!

And i was wondering about how many were made with the polished spine and handle belly from the factory? I feel like i got it for a decent price. So how rare are they in the combo ive got with original sheath? Ive seen the prices on a few lately on the bay and someones web site...

You guys are crazy, why would anyone in their right mind need more than one?

My fav SHSH combo is the .250 thick INFI with diagonal grooved micarta handles and tube fasteners.

I only need 12 more to catch you, Sir! But I only need six ASH1's to meet Andy's total.

And I never see any non-painted blade models for sale. Was that a factory, or Custom Shop option, or were some "standards" sold with that finish?

Thanks, Steve

There are factory satin blades and factory bead blast (not double cut).
There are also a few (less than 10) "ghost" satin blades. Ghost refers to the logo being barely visible/ghost.
I don't have all those anymore but still have a feeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww.

The ASH-1 is cool but the original SH-1 is super cool.

Thanks for the info, Mr. M...I believe I purchased one of your SH-1's awhile back...;-)

What's a "decent" price? These generally go for 600-800, if less than 600, you did good.

The sheath is a nice touch, but not that uncommon. I have a few spares laying around. Same as the satin spine. Not "rare", but not the norm either.

I love my OG SH1

But I love that it has the "BUSSE" spine stamp.

You must have forgot to include that blade on the far left in the last northbound shipment ;)

So for those of you in the know, what the story behind the shsh's with diagonal micarta and tubes? Any and all info on them would be appreciated!

I believe the diagonal groove ones were the last iteration made.

At one point, both Cobalt and Randucci made posts sharing all of their knowledge on SHBM and SHSH handles and styles. You might try to track those threads down when you get a chance. Good stuff!

There's a certain snakeskin that still hasn't made it's way south.....

Figure they will pass each other on their journeys.

Here's a pic I took this weekend of a couple.
3 rare ones in there, 1 with "BUSSE" etched on the spine, 1 with a crinkle coated blade, and one factory original BB (pre DC) finish.

Thanks Mulder. Looks like you prefer the round pommel over the BB. (Or do you also have several of those?). I think the "round" looks better/smoother in the butt (there's a phrase!), and there seems to be more "meat" in the hand grip area in that model than has the BB...;-)
