I received this Sigarms SIGTAC Rangemaster in the mail yesterday. The blade steel is N69OCo and was exceedingly sharp right out of the tin. The lock-up system for this knife is a "liner lock" system and there is absolutely no blade play -- none, zip, zilch, nil, nada!!!! The blade is 3 1/2" long. The handles/scales are aluminum, skeletonized, and as shown in the picture are OD Green. The closed length of the knife is 4 5/8" long. This knife is very well built (by Fox of Italy I believe) and fits my hand nicely.
The knife came in a very nice, sturdy, aluminum, tin which was enclosed in a cardboard sleeve.
The SIGTAC aluminum tin is 1/2" wider; 2" longer; the same depth; and just as sturdy as an Altoids tin. It would make a nice Personal Survival Kit (PSK) tin/container for those who would want one.
I guess you can look at the skeletonized handles two ways -- 1) easily accumulates dirt and debris or 2) makes it very easy to clean after use or when dirty. So far I like the handle configuration as is.
