I've been lurking around this forum for awhile and recently you guys have me lusting over a Great Eastern Tidioute #73 Scout Knife. What do you think? Are these as good as they look?
I met a dealer at a show back in the summer. I held several of them and they were really nice. The one drawback for me was that they were pretty big in the hand. Not all patterns, but most. They were no bigger than the Case Trappers, but I don't carry a slippie that big, so I decided against getting one. Great looking though and nice fit and finish.
I have a walnut herringbone scout. It is the same size as a Schrade 940T only thicker. I like stout trappers and usually carry them on a belt sheath. I'd say "yes" they are as good as they look.
