New small hatchet

My second little bit of good fortune that came my way this week.

As we all know, knife makers are generous to a fault. I had put my name in the hat on another forum for a give-away and was the lucky winner! This time a custom hatchet. For your viewing pleasure...

It came with a wood display mount with a deer laser etched on it.

Its a hair over 1/4" thick A2 with a slightly convex scandi type grind. To show that its not a display piece:

The handle has a brass guard followed by a 1" section of hardwood. A stacked leather handle and antler base finish the handle.

Edge length is 2.5". Overall length is 11.5". Height from edge to spine is 3 5/8".

Out of the box it was sharp but a little work on the edge brought it up to hair poppin' sharp.

Yep. I'm a happy camper!
