New small Sebenza 21 Questions

I'm going to have the dissenting opinion and say that if you're not happy with the knife, then get it exchanged/refunded. The grind looks acceptable to me and the knife is sharpened by a person on a belt, so it'll never be perfect, but it should be most of the way there. I bought an Adamas with symmetry that was so bad that the tip was off center and shouldn't have left the factory like that, but that doesn't seem the case with your Sebenza. On the otherhand, if the stud was already faded on delivery, I would consider that unacceptable regardless of the fact that it's easily worn. If anything, greater care should be taken when handling that part of the knife from the moment it's pressed into the blade until is arrives in the owners hand.

edit: I also have a bit of an insane eye for detail/nitpicking, so I feel you brother...haha.

Depending where you bought it from, send it back and get it exchanged. Looks like it may have been handled, even though the blue wears off rather quickly, it should be blue. I've noticed that the smalls tend to have a bit more sluggish opening action. Nothing to worry about, it will get smoother with use. You'd have to send it to CRK to get the edge even. Can't say I've ever gotten a new CRK with an uneven grind.
Post a pic of the edge being off, I'd like to see what you're referring to.

I just got a sebenza 25 micarta in trade which has an uneven grind on the blade. The one side of the blade is ground higher towards the spine than the other side. The blade is also very slightly uncentered and the clip has weak retention.

I'm hoping they will not charge me to regrind the blade on it but I will find out for sure on Monday when I can call them.

I think as long as it's a factory grind, no worries there. I bet they can even get the blade back on center. Don't have a clue as to why the clip is weak. That's the biggest reason I've gotten use to carrying in a pocket sheath. I would have nightmares if I reached for my knife and it wasn't there. I just got a chill thinking about it

I would wear it in a belt sheath but I already have my phone in a pouch on my left side with my swisstool and knipex pliers in a double pouch on the right side.

I always pat my pockets constantly to make sure my knife is still there. I would definately freak out if I lost a $400 plus dollar knife :D

My knife doesnt have a clip on it, that way Im never tempted to clip it to anything, it lives deep in the bottom of my pocket. that goes for my Sebenza, my MiniGrip before that, and even just my CRKT M16s before that. Clips get caught and pulled out in the woods, or clips drag across paint in the garage. bottom of pocket carry for me. :)
