New small Sebenza-not smooth

Thanks MORIMOTOM. :)

I'm still wondering if my new large 21 has lube in it from CRK company or if it should be lubed? Sorry to be a pest.... it's my 1st one. :)

It comes lubed with crk grease ... But first thing I do When I get a new crk is take down , clean , and re lube with a thinner oil like blue lube, as I prefen the feel better ! Enjoy your First sebenza !

Is the blade centered when the knife is closed?
I think so but You tell me. If you need another pic let me know. It's not a problem at all. Thanks for the help.

Ok. I completely disassembled the knife. I cleaned it thoroughly and let it dry for about an hour. I used a different lid lubricant. FP-10. I use it on my guns as well. I reassembled the knife and wow what a difference. I still think it needs to be broken in but it's a much different knife now.The lock bar is stiff as crap though. Kind of hard to close it.

Glad to hear it is smoother. It took me around a week or so to break in my small 21. Just keep on opening and closing it! If the lockbar gets "sticky" put some pencil "lead" (graphite) onto the lockbar/tang by just drawing on it.

Using a light amount of oil is key also. If you put too much or have a pinched washer when reasssembling it can cause stiff action.

The red lube was a gun oil I had handy- I wiped the blade down to protect it after handling it for the picture I sent you- it is/was humid up here. The knife was never apart nor was it opened or closed by me for other than a few pictures.

I would have said maybe the old lube was the culprit but if you took it apart and cleaned it it should not be that. I think too much lube has caused issues in the past but I can't remember- don't get old :)

If ya want to send it to CRK I would pay the shipping to them- I can not fathom what would be "wrong" with it-especially after a good cleaning.

I would not have thought the lube I coated the blade with for shipping was gonna be an problem.

Hey Paul,
I appreciate the offer but I think it is working great now. You have done enough for me and you have been great to deal with. No need for that. I just think the old lube was just that. Old. I took the knife apart and cleaned it and re-lubed it. It works great now. Not a single thing wrong with the knife. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
