I'm sorry to dwell on this issue, but I'm still not clear on the "maker" issue. For whom was this knife originally designed?

There seems to be some vagueness in the answers, and I'm wondering why. If this is confidential information, I can respect that and will drop it.

As a newer collector (4-5 years) I'm still trying to get a handle on this knife business. It gets confusing when you have an individual designing for a manufacturer who's going through an importer that's supplying a distributor selling to a dealer who's selling to me.
