Thank you!
It's hurricane season here, so it's good to have a light....or 6....handy. I'd reall like to get that new LX2 that 200/15 lumens. I just sold my M3 and a regular E2D, so I carry the E2D LED in the picture, an E2L Outdoorsman (I love this light for regular around the house use) or the E1B backup. The E2D LED is blinding at 120/5 lumens, but that 200 lumen LED would be great from the LX2 Lumamax.
I'll eventually be switching the Kimber SIS out for a Wilson Combat Professional as my everyday carry.
I bought the SIS to replace my Custom II and my CDP Pro for carry. I like to carry a Pro/Commander size all steel 1911 as opposed to aluminum frames. The Milt Sparks VMII is the best IWB holster I've had so far, but would like to try a Brommeland Max-Con V (VI?) because it tapers more at the bottom. I was going to buy a real nice Outside the Waistband holster like the Del Fatti LPS, but it's near $300. I guess my $90 Galco will have to do for that once a month I use that type of holster.
Here's some other knives I've been through for everyday carry this past few years. None come close to the SNG! I have to say though, that HK had one of the smoothest actions I've ever seen. The blade went completely limp when you pulled down on the Axis lock, but had absolutely no play when locked open. It was amazing. It would just swing with no friction sound at all.
Benchmade Gravitator in background.. Snody's shop was 10 minutes from my house, so that's why I ended up with 4 H&K's and 2 Gravitators. Also tried a Ti-Lite (don't know why I did that, I hate Cold Steel), 8 or 9 other Benchmades and 2 other Emersons. I've finally cut my rotation (if you can call it that) down to the SNG, Izula and CQC-8. The William Henry will be in there soon and maybe a Custom SNG. Still on the fence about the Sebenza. Great knife, just doesn't fit a real need for me. I may buy one just to own one, but don't really see it in the rotation.
(Before anyone says it..... Yes, I know those are wilson grips on a Kimber! I loved those grips, but didn't realize I could get them from Larry Davidson without the logo)
