It needs some weeks, but now it is nearly ready. The Knive only waits for a better finisch of the surface. As some forum members wished, i took some Pictures of te making.

Materials: A damas Blade of the 119 (it is not marked but has exactly the same form), bison bone, nickel silver, paper fever, amber and black locust.

Do you like that knive (it is the second knive I made in this way)?

The parts (except the pice of wood for the Handle)

The gluing

After the first grinding

The mean work is done except the finish

Best regards,
Herbert

A job well done, Herbert, super nice knife. I hope Joe H. peeks at this thread, so maybe Buck will get some Damascus 119's rolling out of the shop someday.

Zowie..... that is some fine Damascus....Buck needs to get back in the Damascus blades.I need a 124 Damascus....maybe several with different handle combo's...hint ,hint !
Your doing a good job on that knife Haebbie.

 ...Super nice job on that great looking knife Herbert...You've done really well on that handle. It is great looking damascas. You people are trying to get me interested in "fixed blades" aren't you??..LOL...That's one fine piece of work Herbert...:)

Yep...I find today that I am jonesin' for a 120BR Cocacola. Really bad!!!!!!!!

SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good job haebbie:thumbup:
it looks different without the buttcap but it is a nice looking knife , i like the spacers you put in thats some nice work
thanks for posting the pics

thank you very much for your friendly answers. I'm glad, that you like the knife. And if you are interested, I'll post a pic, when the surface is finished. And also I've to make a sheath (not a sheet ;) ). What do you think what's better: a hide of a cow or leather? I can get both.

DarrylS, fixed blades are the best!!! :D

Buckaholic, how and why shall we stop you? Another question: What the hell means jonesin'? I couldn't find the word in the dictionary.

Buckman, I thougt about a Buttcap, but don't you think also, that this slyghtly curved handle doesn't need one? The knive is not jet finished, that I'm not determined.

Best regards,
Herbert

hi haebbie jonesin is a craving --like you would crave a smoke after quitting
and yes i would put a endplate on the knife , being you have such a nice large handle the buttcap wouldnt have to be so large just a solid plate at the end

Hu, a long time I didn't continue to finish my special Special. How do you like the knife now?

Best regards,
Haebbie

Hi Haebbie,

All I can say is wow.....that is an awesome 119!!!! The best part is that you have made it your' self. Fine craftsmanship......want to sell it?
