• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

New Spike hawk and two in progress

VERY nice work Hawkhead, The pewter "stupid screw hole" filler is fantastic. Great work.

Best regards

Robin

Hawkhead, are you still making hawks? The one with the star on the side I am very interested in.....

Beautiful work and great Hawks! The nice thing about the CS hawks is the initial price. Then you can modify and make them your own.

Hi Shane1,Venice Will and all hawkmen ,
Since I last posted in this forum I have been working non stop in one state and living in another and only getting home on most weekends. I'm starting to understand how a zombie feels. I do manage to steal a few minutes during the day to look at what's going on in the world of hawks. I have 5 hawks in progress since the late fall, 2 Trail hawks, 1 Frontier, 1 Spike and 1 Poll. None of them are like their older sibblings. I'm trying to keep the design of the hawks simpler and lighter. All will have my 8 pointed star, which I have slightly modified, convex grind and will be blued. The hafts are all the original hickory with nice grain and all are fitted to the heads. I have not decided whether or not to use a thin leather piping to wrap or not.
I am continuing to modify hawks and will begin to sell some this year. First comes the appropriate membership upgrade, then I'll let my fellow hawkmen know. Right now I'm practicing at a large hospital in PA. and directing a residency program so hawktime is really scarce. so, all you hawkmen keep the work coming and I'll be joining up again soon.
